Think About It was late night thought that was built around the thread of an acoustic guitar and wrapped in a 3 part vocal harmony with some non-linear speak/singing..
The essence of our studio is a laptop, an Apogee Duet, a Gefell Microtech, and an explosion of instruments all located within our home, a wooden bungalow in Thailand. The inherent noisefloor has forced us into a different way of recording, and pushed us into a new approach to songwriting.
Crickets and night creatures are undeniably and unavoidably recorded into the heart of the kick which was captured by a mic-ing my foot stomping on the wooden floor.
Once again, Kosma Solarius did a tweak on our mix and did his magic with the mastering. We are truly fortunate to have his excellent ears and abilities living right next door.
This mix dives back into the old true heart of stereo, so headphones will take you far deeper into this mix.
The genre is a mystery to us, so we answer that question with a question mark..?
